Boundary Surveys

Purpose

JM Surveys carries out boundary surveys for various legal purposes. For first-time registration with the PRA (Property Registration Authority) we can outline your site boundary in red on a Land Registry compliant map and pass that on to your solicitor.

In the event of a query or dispute regarding boundaries of an existing property or land parcel, we can compare old deed maps, Land Registry maps or Ordnance Survey maps to the physical boundaries that currently exist on the ground and submit this information to your solicitor on a drawing which will show any significant boundary discrepancies.

Topographical Surveys

A topographical survey produces a three-dimensional model of a piece of land.

Floor Plans &
Elevation Surveys

Floor plans of an existing building are produced by a total station with a built in laser, disto (laser measuring device) and a hand-held computer which stores the data later used to generate the drawing.

As-Built Surveys

An as-built survey drawing is a mapped record of a completed project or development, and is usually required before a Local Authority takes a development in charge.

Forensic Surveys

JM Surveys carry out forensic surveys for forensic engineers all over Ireland.

Boundary Surveys

Setting Out Surveys

Once an architect or engineer has prepared an accurate plan of a proposed development we can then set out roads, buildings, services, boundaries etc. with pegs on the ground.

Volumetric Surveys

JM Surveys carries out volumetric surveys with GPS and total station to produce an accurate three-dimensional model of stockpiled material or excavated quantities from a borrow pit.
