Purpose

Floor Plans
Floor plans of an existing building are produced by a total station with a built in laser, disto (laser measuring device) and a hand-held computer which stores the data later used to generate the drawing. The key to an accurate floor plan is to establish proper control points on the ground, thus tying everything together. Depending on the client’s requirements doors, windows, fireplaces, radiators and kitchen appliances or any other features can be shown on the floor plan, with floor to ceiling heights shown in each room. Sections can also easily be produced if required.

Elevations
Elevation are produced in the same way as floor plans. All that is needed is a clear sight line to the façade of the building face, and everything can be done from the ground.

Topographical Surveys

A topographical survey produces a three-dimensional model of a piece of land.
