Purpose
A topographical survey produces a three-dimensional model of a piece of land. It includes all natural and man-made features (e.g. trees, buildings, roads, footpaths, manholes, utility poles, retaining walls etc.) represented on the drawing by text, lines and symbols.
It also includes heights and elevations, represented on the drawing by spot levels and contours.
The survey then provides a base map for the design of a proposed development. JM Surveys can provide any output a client requires, whether it be a 2d or a 3d drawing, linked to any co-ordinate system (e.g. local grid, ITM, Irish Grid 1975 etc.) and to any datum (e.g. site datum, Malin Head etc.).
